Dr. Gary Lazarus is the owner of Rippowam Animal Hospital. He graduated Veterinary School from the University of Pretoria-Onderstepoort, South Africa in 1989. After working as an emergency clinician in a busy urban clinic he immigrated to the United States in 1990. He started working at Rippowam Animal Hospital soon after arriving in America and he purchased the practice in 1993. He has made major upgrades to the hospital over the years making it today’s state-of-the-art facility offering top notch medical and surgical care for your pets. He practices both medicine and surgery, lately expanding his skills by becoming proficient in ultrasound techniques and both rigid and flexible endoscope. He lives in Stamford with his wife, 2 daughters, 3 Scottish Terriers, a Bengal Cat and numerous tropical fish.
